Windows supports the option to product a MODEMLOG.TXT file when using communications software with TAPI. This option can allow the user to debug communications problems as the log file include a complete log of all TAPI actions. all CallAudit product automatically turn on the option to produce a MODEMLOG.TXT file for your modem.
The MODEMLOG.TXT file that is generated is always located in the windows directory.
The data from this file can be used to help us determine what problems your system may have in reading Caller ID data with your MODEM. Many MODEM INF files do not have the correct data included to handle Caller ID. This log file will show us what INF file your MODEM is using and how is it trying to process Caller ID data.
