Details:

CallAudit Voice allows for multiple mailbox operations.  The program can be configured to allow callers to enter a digit or digits on their phone's keypad to navigate to a specific mailbox.  If a caller enters a digit that is not defined, enters an incorrect digit, or fails to enter all or any of the numbers for mailboxes with more than one digit, the program begins its error prompt routine.

The error prompt routine plays the system "error in input message", prompting the caller to re-enter their data.  If the caller has hung up at this point, the program will still continue to wait for the digit input, as there is no indication that the call has ended.  The routine will wait a default time of 15 seconds before continuing.

If no numbers are entered, the program loops back to the mailbox and repeats the process.  The process will be repeated 3 times, by default, before ending the call..

Resolution:

To change the amount of time the program waits for user input, do the following:

  1. Start CAV

  3. Answer tab

  4. Press the "Advanced voice mail options" button

  5. Set the mailbox count and time period in the "Other Options" section near upper right of display

  6. Press the OK button

  7. Press the OK button
