Many times users need to move their
current CallAudit installation from one PC to a
different PC. This is a fairly simple process
involving the following basic steps:
-
Install CallAudit on new PC using CD
or download
-
Test new installation
-
Exit CallAudit
-
Copy original program directory from
old PC to same directory on new PC
-
Copy INI file from old PC to new PC
-
Test to verify that all is correct
Install CallAudit on New PC and Test
If you have the original CD, install
from that. If not, download the current
corresponding trial version from here
and install the trial. Once the install is
completed, verify that the program appears to work
correctly, indicating a good installation. Exit
CallAudit when finished.
Copy Program Directory
Copy the contents of your current
program directory on the old PC to the same location on
the new PC. For example, if you are moving CallAudit
Voice 6.0, you would likely be copying the contents of C:\CAV60
directory on one PC to a similar location on the new
PC. This will put your current version back as
well as your database and other associated files that represent
your current call data history.
Copy INI File
Copy the INI file from the Windows
directory on the old PC to the Windows directory on the
new PC. For example, if you are moving CallAudit
Voice 6.0, the INI file is named CAV60.INI. Keep
in mind that the Windows directory on the new PC may
have a different name than the old PC. Some are
named Windows, some WinNT, and some other combinations
of names.
When finished, test to verify that all
is the same on the new PC as it was on the old PC.
